Combat feels tight but the inventory UI is rough. Mounted-combat tutorial in chapter 2 lost me for a few minutes.

help_outline Game tester FAQ

How do I become a game tester?

Sign up free in under a minute, tell us which games you play and on what platform, and you are in the matching pool the same day. We send you tests that fit your taste, your hardware, and your free time. No application form, no resume, no waiting list.

Can I test video games from home?

Yes, every test runs on your own setup. No office, no commute, no fixed hours. You play on your gaming PC, your console, your couch, or your VR headset, on your own schedule, and submit feedback through our app. Most testers do their sessions evenings and weekends around real life.

Do I need experience or a high-end gaming PC?

No experience required. Studios want real player opinions, not professional reviewers. A normal gaming setup is enough. The few tests with strict hardware minimums spell them out upfront on the invite, so you only see what you can actually run.

How fast can I start testing games?

Usually within a few days of signup. Once your profile is verified, you enter the next matching batch. New tests open every week across every platform, so your first invite typically lands while you are still tuning your preferences.

How much do game testers earn?

It depends on the test. Most newcomers start with free game copies, exclusive merch, and in-game rewards. Once you have built a track record of solid feedback, paid programs open up: typically €10 to €30 per playtest for shorter sessions, more for full game reviews and long-running QA cycles. Every invite shows the reward type upfront, so there are no surprises.

What platforms can I test games on?

PC (Steam, Epic, GOG), PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series X|S and One, Nintendo Switch, Mac, Linux, and VR (Meta Quest, PSVR2). Set your platforms once during signup; we only match you to titles that fit your hardware.

Is GameTester free for testers?

Completely free for testers, forever. Studios pay to run private playtests on GameTester, which is what keeps the platform free for you and the rewards real.

What kinds of games can I expect to test?

Everything from indie passion projects to AAA pre-launch builds. RPG, shooter, strategy, VR, simulation, horror, sports, mobile ports. You pick your genres at signup. The more honest you are about what you actually play, the better the matches.
